Doo640 I have a 15" Innov track- bought from 1970TNT many years back- I installed it on my '69 Oly but it chewed drivers on the stand- I swapped it out for a less nice original Ski Doo track. Later on I took a caliper and measured the windows- some were right on and some not, then I realized that if I had taken a big channel locks and pinched down the ones that were tight then cleaned up the rust it would have worked. It will likely end up under my '67 Super Oly when that gets done.

That's a nice looking 18 incher there. I really like that it has the early 70 angled lug on it. I've heard of that name but haven't seen it on a track. The ole Nordic will be happy to have the 'new' sneaker on

Well, I got the Nordic all buttoned up with the new "sneaker" and she's ready to go! Ericr, luckily everything is looking good and no damage to any of the sprockets while spinning the track while on the stand. Quite aggressively I might add. One of the things that really excites me about tackling this project is that I was able to install the front drive shaft insert for the angle drive key. I was actually a little surprised this part is redialy available and was used up into the 2000's maybe even later? Now I have a functional speedometer for the first time ever since I had this sled!! Sweet. I put about a mile on the sled while on the stand during my testing and track tightening/aligning. At one point the speedometer hit 50mph for a second or two. Wonder how accurate that is?, LOL. Take care gang, be safe and wash your hands!

Thanks guys for the funny comments. We all need some good humor these days. Olyman, you said "Ready to rip for the next snowfall". Can you please speed this up somehow?

You ain't kidding about the humor I wish I could speed up that snowfall! And while I'm at it make sure next winter will be a good one for all, even where JoeOly is - he got dealt another bum winter. JoeO, you should put summer tires on one of your sleds...

66 is good to go. Realized that when putting it all back together that just adding a few washers to the handle bar support bolts at the hood will 'shim' the bars down a little. Now everything works including the headlight pop-up rig. Track is all aligned, its now holding oil in the case without issues and it runs good lol! Another reason I'm anticipating that next snowfall...

The Innov line was sold by Bombardier Ski Doo dealers. It was a lower priced line of parts, and they had common parts such as tracks and drive belts, for Arctic Cat, and Polaris as well as Ski Doo and Moto Ski.

Dave, are you implying that I'm keeping this old girl going by using El Cheapo parts? HAHA, just yanking your chaincase... That's great info to know and solves that little mystery so thanks! This Innov track seem to be really good quality. It might be just like a lot of things today. Same exact item, just slap a different name on it and sell it cheaper or more expensively. Wouldn't surprise me at all if it was the same exact track as the Ski Doo but has the Innov brand molded into it. Anyone know how many different track manufacturers existed back in the 70's?

Goodyear and Dayco are two other manufacturers from the 70's that I can recall.

My thoughts...Innov track are not the same as a OEM track with a different stamp. Any Innov tracks I have experienced ( in the last 15 +/- years)are not shrunk like OEMs. Maybe I got luckey. Bones

My dad swore by the innov belts. They were very consistent in length.
