We lost decoy706 (Richard S from Michigan) (snowmobile racer back in the day; blizzard, Twin-Track, and general '70s muscle sled expert) a few years ago. Really sad, he was a good personal friend; was the third person to sign up on the old board.
He sold off all the race sleds and parts about a year before he passed. I wish I could of afforded to buy even one sled. What a collection. Twin-Tracker, 1977 Michigan Blizzard "Stock" racer, 1979 Moto-Ski 250 racer, and … He had a bunch of NOS single 292 and 340 blizzard engine parts.

I was kind of worried about whether he was still around. He was a great source of information.
I have heard it said that when an old timer passes, it is like a library burned down

Lowteck, good to see you made it here.
Decoy 706, that's sad news. Names drop out of circulation but you never really know why.

Welcome back lowtech!! Great to have you back! I remember you building some killer free airs with some really cool pipes all from scratch. I thiiiiink I also recall a mini bike with a rotax? Always wondered how your projects turned out and what is new in the man barn. Cheers to you man.
That is also really sad about mr decoy, but we are all lucky to have gotten to know him, shared time and knowledge from his library. Definitely happy for that. Kudos to everyone before and everyone here now.
Cheers lads

when editing a thread and you want to put pictures in: click on the use the green box in the area you type in that says REPLY. It opens up the buttons across the top. Looks like this old fashion way: use a remote site hosting your pictures like IMGUR, LENSDUMP or FLICKR something like that. Even GOOGLE PHOTO's can do it now. Then you copy the image address. Come over here, and do the: paste the link in here [/img <-- ( ] square bracket to end this line). Works great just like before. You can also chose to not bother typing the bracket stuff anymore by clicking on the INSERT IMAGE button, and you just paste your remote link into the popup. Makes the picture show up right away when you are editing. Kinda nice to see it right away before creating the post. another thing you can do is attach a picture right to the post. It allows a 1mb size or less, so you might have to shrink it down (resize the picture on your computer before attaching).
