Doonut Just dooing some tinkering and decided to make an original flywheel puller for the later twins, etc. Had a bunch of spare fan pulleys laying around and this one came off an older 640 which is the heavy metal type. Some are cast and some were light metal ones. This one was worn where pawls meet so it was a good candidate. Found a heavy washer, not the one shown, but just to show you what I used. A 7/8 bolt and nut, but would of like to use a fine thread bolt but none was found at the time. And the mig. Just have to make sure it is perfectly centered. I used it to pull off 2 flywheels, off engines that were seized, works like a charm. Just careful on the crank end, use a protector, etc.

That's the one I made. I've used it on smaller 340-440, and 640's. Its a little overkill but works everytime. Looks like the male symbol if I ever saw one..

Great looking puller Olympic. Here is another example, this is a puller I built a few years ago. Worked perfectly for my Nordic 640. If you have a welder its pretty easy and can be made with scrap materials you probably already have lying around.

Olyman I like it, I made one like that with a plate welded on the end of a spacer with nut attached to the plate so the puller wouldn't move. I was in fact looking for that the other day but I think I lent it out to someone and they haven't returned it .
