Hey Vince, I think the top one is a simple non-electric start version voltage regulator? The yellow goes to the lighting circuit. Black to ground. Not positive though. Someone here will know for sure. I've never seen the bottom one, might not be Doo brand?

That makes sense Mark thank you. Never thought of a non-E-start mag this would work on. The second one is old - I've had that on hand since I was just starting high school lol. It might have come from a Snow Cruiser. Never seen another one like it - looks like a motorolla symbol

The 4-terminal one.. I think I see yellow dots on the two center terminals? If so, you would put AC wires on those two, and pull rectified DC from the other two.

right on thank you. then I guess the rectified DC would have to be grounded on one to create the DC on the other.

Hey Vince, Based upon what look to be cooling fins, that may have something to do with temperature regulation or monitoring of Temperature??? I find it interesting that the center part of that item has what looks to be the same style safety switch that is used on home furnaces. Is it possibly a safety switch to shut a motor off if it is overheating???

I always thought it was a ski-doo related thing but makes me wonder if not? Cant imagine that a doo would have anything along those lines unless it was attached to a starter... which i have never seen
