oly_manAnyone ever manage to get an old Rotax style clutch onto a 3/4" straight shaft engine? I picked up another K161 engine which is newer (78) but in really good shape, and runs like a top for $50. Between that and a much older one I picked up a few years ago I plan to make something that is reasonably close to a 'period correct' engine. Will take some effort, but definitely worth it seeing how hard these are to find. Any clutch ideas are welcome! TIA mikesskidooCat and Polaris used clutches that slide on to the standard keyed crankshaft, I would try to find one of those..... oly_manThanks for the heads up sir. I will start looking. I assume thats perhaps a salisbury clutch? mikesskidooI am not too sure of the brand? I also am pretty sure you can search eBay and find comet and salsbury and Chinese knock off of them still in production for the keyed shafts
