What kind of clutch was on the sled originally and what are people running on it now. Mine doesn't want to engage and move sled no matter how much I rev it. thanks hotdoo

pretty sure they looked something like this; but I don't have info on the governor bell that went on top. I think this one blew up with the belt a long time ago I know you can still get Powerbloc ALT clutches that fit the 7/8" threaded shaft. I just bought one myself. Its a good and quiet clutch, and much better than a duster. I've reached out to my contact to see if he has numbers for the big bore blizzard.

He wants to know more information about what you want for max RPM, and what HP you have. I'll send you an email with his contact info.

The sled was a 797 with cleated track from factory according to Doo museum records. It now has a 645 triple in it as I found it that way. All I want is for the thing to move, right now it revs and clutch doesn't engage the belt. I figured getting a different clutch might be the answer. thanks hotdoo

I think you're definitely on the right track by replacing the clutch. If the secondary has a good spring and moves freely you will be pulling wheelies in no time

I have an engine will the original clutch, but I have never used it. When I grass dragged my 72 797, I ran a 7/8" threaded Comet. I would think that there would be enough clearance for the clutch guard.
