On my parts search for my '72 TnT 292 slide project I managed to get a '72 donour bogie sled. I have both stripped down, compared the tunnels and noticed one major difference aside from a couple drain holes drilled in one and not the other. Can anyone give me insight as to what these support bars are for and why the difference between models?
Bogie - bent clutch support?
Slide - Upright support with hole

think I figured it out. the upright hole is an earlier production version of the bent bar. Both are hood restraints.

The bottom one definitely is a hood restraint that I recognize. It had the stamped metal sliding thing that went through that hole. It was a neat idea that kept the hood in place moreso than a cable but didn't allow the hood to open near as far. The top one I've never seen before..

I know this is an old thread but my 72 tnt 292 has the top one. I bought it from the original owner and the sled has just under 700 miles. Edit to say mine is a bogie sled

Thanks.. From what I can tell the Internet gods say there is no consistancy or atleast nobody is paying enough attention to the hood thing to decipher when they used what.
