Nothing got done today in the barn, so I brought out the Alpine to see if I could get it to run. First thing was by a miracle it had spark!!! Rolled it over with jump starter and even the gas was going to carb, that's a plus! Now I put new plugs in it and the jump box (fully charged) won't hardly roll it over, and I can't hardly pull it over myself, pull one plug out and the crazy thing wants to run on one cylinder. Now I put the plug back in and it's back to just barely rolling over, I did this numerous times with each cylinder, Pull both plugs and the jump box just spins the heck out of it. Anyone every have this happen on a 370 opposed? Could it be out of time? Any input would be welcome! hotdoo

They are animals to pull over if both cylinders are in nice shape. If it runs good on one cylinder then the timing is good because they fire at the same time. Both cylinders make TDC at the same time on that rig, which is likely one reason why they stopped making them that way. You pull over lots of compression at the same time. Make sure its got good fuel to burn, maybe a little shot into the crab and try again? I should mention that when i rebuilt the last one I had I had to use a battery and a charger on 100a setting to get it to turn over with the battery! Takes a lot to electric start them!
