I'm over in N.E. Ohio and I've been able to get a couple of rides in. We got some snow on Sunday, about 6-8 inches. On that day I put about 35 miles on my 81 Citation 4500 just riding around on the dirt roads south of town. I didn't try riding the local trails since they would have been mud baths. Then yesterday I rode again on some of the same roads, it was hard pack ice for the most part, not the best for my sliders but hey, I had to scratch that itch. Probably did 15-20 miles. At the end of the ride i noticed my tail light doesn't work at all, not even the brake light. And the headlight is dim on both high and low beams. Hoping it's just a bad ground and not the lighting coil? Any ideas anyone. Voltage regulator is new this year. Attachments:

Hi Olympic, The trails around me are a combination of woods, fields and roads. Some power lines too. The wooded trails are not very wild in some areas, just big enough to get an old Bombi groomer through. It surely helps in keeping the speeds down while riding in those areas!

Dismal here in eastern Ontario. Just barely enough to go out on, I try not to think about it. The real die hards are running on the closed trails and driving over a lot of bare pavement. It's been said with snow like this there are a lot of thousand dollar bills under that snow I am not willing to take any chances.

I just flew in from Georgia to my folks place in central Minnesota, and very good snow, a foot and a half in the woods. Finally got to ride my Johnny Cash special Elan and it does exactly what it is supposed to, break trails in the deep and woods!
Got my engine back in my '73 Oly today, the one I refreshed on the bench down in Georgia and found it had been running with one TNT piston and one Oly piston since I have owned the thing in 2006. It runs sweet, found it had a Comet Powerblock clutch and it is smooth and quiet.

Been raining here all aft (south/west ontario) and surely lost the 6" or so that we had. Last weekend I got my first ride of the year. Even at that it only showed up the night before. These days tho, I have to be happy with that!

It was like upper 40s maybe in the low 50s so discouraging didn't want to look at the temp now it supposed to rain tomorrow so what snow we did have will be gone. Sunday calling for some snow will see. We certainly don't get the weather to keep the snow around anymore. Its still January and I've done plenty of riding in February before.
