So I friend of mine has known about a 69 320SS for many years. He has tried to by it for years. Original owner, with the factory mod pipe. Garage storage and covered for years. I don't have any pictures, yet... He is going to sell it. I was guessing that it may be worth $1000 to maybe $1500. I have no better guess than that. Hood has been repaired due to a fence post issue while racing - in 1969! Not sure how many were made, value, "pipe", etc. I need some input.

Niiiice! That's very cool to know about the history somewhat too. $$ is always hard on something desirable like that, but worse over these past few years. The prices things have been going for make sense for some newer items that aren't being made as fast. But old used iron like this is just as hard to find as it always was - no matter what the covid police say. Problem is many people see prices going up elsewhere so they jack prices for everything else. Kind of depends on location, condition, original parts, engine condition, ownership, who's selling it, and really how bad you want it. You might luck out and get it under 1000, or it could go for 3x that (around here it would thanks to "covid"). Good luck on that one.

Were they a 320 with an HD carb, or actually a 335? Precursor to the 70 T'NT?

Those were the first HD 340 engines that were pretty much the same as 70, but had a 3/4" crank still. Pretty sure all the rest of the engine is the same as a 70.

It seems to me ( in the past ) the 69 SS sleds did not get the interest that I think they should have and still think that today. Several years ago nice 70 - 340 black dots were selling in the $2,000.00 range ( +/-). I have not seen one for sale recently so no value to compare to. I have kinda moved away from that type of sleds these days but if I was close to a 69-320SS ( in decent shape) for $1,500.00 I would be all over it in a heat beat. ( just my opinions). Very rare sleds. Yes the 69- 320 SS engine is 100% exactly the same as a 70 - 340. Bones

Thanks Bones. I haven't heard anything more about it from my friend, but maybe this weekend. I do have another lead on a 71 292 T'NT and a 71 775 T'NT. I will see how it plays out.
