So last Saturday a friend and I attended a vintage show over in Findlay Lake, NY which is near the Chautauqua Lake, NY area. Peak n Peak ski resort is in the area also. It was about an hour drive so not too far. The Pink Panther Snowmobile club did a great job putting on the show. Surprisingly, not many Doos were there out of the approximately 75 sleds that were there. Here are some pics, but unfortunately I forgot to get pics of all sleds. You know how it is, constant action and distractions all around ya, hard to remain focused on what your doing, LOL. I was especially distracted when the Gorski ran into my 67 and put a big scratch in the right ski!! This one will NOT buff-out, LOL. No big deal, its all good. EricR, the wise man that he is once said "Its gonna get scratched, get over it and move on" LOL, or something like that.
Here's my stuff, along with my friend Tony's Gilson and Scorp.
These next few are when Tony and I took a little spin down the trail. Conditions were not great, but hey, a ride is a ride, and I had never experienced trails like this! I wasn't positive I wanted to risk taking the 67, so the old reliable 4500 made the trek.
Couple of nice Doos!!! Clean Clean Clean!!
Here are just more sleds, sorry I didn't get them all. Gorski's were made right here in Findlay Lake, NY and Corry, PA. !!! Too cool! Next time, please don't run into my Oly!
There were many obscure sleds at this show.
Can you spot the potential hazard?
And lastly, I feel sorry for the poor kid that has to ride this mini-sled. The exhaust blows right in your face!! Looks like a Toocheap special!

Very nice Doo640ER wanted to go to that show this year but had some other things come up. Maybe next year when I get this 320 together we can meet up and go for a spin.

Sorry to hear about your ski getting scratched, at least it's not too hard to touch up or re paint a ski!
Thank you for all the pics, I like seeing those odd ball brands! It seems in those days anyone would rent a warehouse and set up an assembly line, try to come up with some sort of color or design nobody else used.
I am going to make an effort next year to drive up to one of those western PA shows, about as close as I can get to a 12 hr drive from where I live.

Excellent job on the photos. Thanks for taking the time to post them. I had a dealer tell me back in the day there were about 225 "brands" at the height of the market. Love the Brut, interesting running boards.

Wow what a day! Great pics too - thanks for sharing with us. Ya scratches are impossible to avoid if you do anything with the sled. It gives them character... I say this as I've already noticed many new scratches on my tnt lol

I say this as I've already noticed many new scratches on my tnt lol As a reformed/recovering shop queen owner I can attest that it is great fun driving a "brand new" sled. More fun, even, than drinking beer and looking at them. And that was damn fun too If you don't rake them through the thickets the cabs hold up pretty well and that's where so much of the cosmetic effort is invested.

Great pictures! I bought some stuff from the Gorski guy at Boonville summer show, seemed like a nice guy hope you ski stays drama free the rest of the season. Also someone donate that Foxtrac guy some chain... Those rear engine foxs are rough running when they are freshly lubed and dialed in!
