I'm pulling out a bunch of parts for a '70 Oly project. I'm wondering if the 335 and 340 share the same crank case. Not sure if I can rescue the T'NT case. The engine is locked up, and will take some persuasion to get it to cooperate.

Yes, the 335 Oly and 340 TnT have the same crank and case. The 69-320, 69- 320 SS, the 70 - 335 Oly and 70 - 340 TnT are all same as each other. The 71 - 73 - 335 Oly and 71 - 340 TnT are same as each other. Tou can not use a 70 crank case in a 71 case etc. The older ones have the 3/4" crank stub and the later have the 7/8" crank stub. Bones

Thanks. I'm working with 71 T'NT stuff, and 70-71 340 Blizzard stuff. At least I know what to look for if I need a 335 case.
