50 years ago today my Dad came home with a brand new 71 Olympique 300 on Christmas eve. Nine year old me was agog as it had the same wedge seat as the Tnt's and Blizzards! And it had 5 more horsepower than the 67 Oly in the garage. I'm sure my Dad would be laughing if he knew I still talk about that day 50 years later. I'm fortunate to have many wonderful Christmas memories but that is one of my faves.

Great story silverbullet. Your a lucky guy to have had that type of relationship with your dad. My dad is still with us, but he (and I) was born is a messy area of New Jersey about 15 miles from New York city. So a gearhead he is not and never liked motors or sleds. In 40 years he's ridden on a sled once, LOL. Not sure how I turned out the way I have, but sure am glad he moved the family out of that mess and to Ohio in 71 when I was about 6. A nice shiny 71 Nordic would have been a great gift from Santa that year!

Very nice silverbullet. Growing up on a 71 Elan 250 and my brother and I bugging my dad to get it out so we could go riding after we did barn chores night after night. Good memories of my dad and now I get to do it with my kids and as the snow falls my boy has asked me a dozen times today dad can I snowmobiling.
