Ahhh.....if only we could save 'em all..... I think the second picture shows a slider...... When I look at this chart from the technical specs, it doesn't look like the 74 came with sliders Maybe it was a swap or something, we all know that was pretty common........ Anyway, I've got my shed stuffed, and I can't fit another one in.......and it is 4 hours from me.....

It should have a type 434 ( small fan ) engine with a tuned (kidney) pipe same as a silver bullet. Bones

Interesting sled. That slider has link plates just like 73 SBullet and 74 Elan SS and perhaps that is why it does not appear in the Torque Reaction Table provided by Dando. Based upon Bones info was the 74 Oly 440 a 73 TnT dressed up in Oly clothing? Or maybe someone changed out the bogies for the 73 slider set up so that they could have a heavier sled, ha ha. The 73 skids are not light.

Yes silverbullet the suspension is like a 73 SB. The 73/74 Oly with slides had that set up. I really don`t know if it was installed on any 74 - 440 as OEM or the one in pic is a transplant ??. The table above from Dando does not list the suspension for the 74 Oly because the table is for "torque reaction" sleds, the style in the 74 Oly is not a torque reaction, they were called "ground leveler". Note in the chart the only sleds listed for 74 are the TnT FC & Everest, first sleds to get the torque reaction unit. The 73/74 Oly - 440 chassis is actually the same chassis as a 73 SB, the 340 Oly chassis was slightly different. So kinda in a sense the Oly 440 is a SB, but...The engine is different.

Interesting they list the 73 400 Oly as 27 HP, and the 440 at 28 HP! The 73 440 was a yellow cab, and the 74 cab was black, so this looks like the real deal. Likely a low production model for sure.
