Carb is HD-22A...So do I have a TNT engine???...Looks like a TNT carb and suspension...how can I verify??? Dando that's such a cool old 65 lol! To me its just a 65 that someone put 71~ tnt parts on. That's a 292 engine for sure with that carb on it - you can't fake it without having some crazy hr/hd adapter - which you don't have. The spine-leveller skid is plug and play for pretty well every bogie sled because the bolts line right up. So you can replace the heavy outfit with 3 sets of oly bogies and you're good to go. I also like the low windshield to set it off. What secondary does it have? 6-pin primitive style was oem until 67 with a 3 pin, then 68 was the much better acting helix style. If you want to run that engine I would make sure it has the helix style. Depends on what you want out of this old hot rod.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys.
Olyman, I will definitely beef up that secondary. I didn't look too close, but it looks like a single chain, so probably original to the chassis.
You just never know what you'll find with these old sleds. I'm very excited to clean it up. It will be awhile till I can touch it....

Like olyman says, great idea to change up the secondary. The 69 - 12/3SS ( 292) ran a single chain. I would think for the use it will get the single chain is likely adequate. Bones

And on the subject of 2-stroke Detroit's I was looking pretty slick going down the 401 with this old bruiser. Just a little 3 cylinder in it. Attachments:
