Doo any of you fellows know what this head is ?? It has a much smaller combustion chamber compared to the stock OEM head for 70 or 71. I have never seen one. I am suspecting it is a OEM HA - 71 head. Thanks for any thoughts

Hey Bones, No numbers anywhere on it? Is it Rotax for sure? Look like it's got paint on it and didn't Doo start painting the motors in 72?

No, there is no numbers any where, all the 340 TnT single heads I have seen, have no numbers. The 71 - 340 TnT single engine was painted black.

That definitely looks like a 340 high compression head. The dome outside of the main plug area is tiny! The pattern of how it was machined definitely looks like it is a Rotax. Thats about all I can offer unfortunately.
You have an engine for that dr Bones?

Doo640ER, the 71 - 340 TnT single was painted black as OEM No olyman I will not be installing the head on a engine ( yes I have a engine I could put it on). The head belongs to another fellow. I made contact due to happenstance with a ( new to me) sled head that recently got the disease real bad. Initial contact was Doo parts other than single cylinder stuff. The conversation moved to him having a problem with a 340 TnT lunger. He went looking for a head or heads and found this one. Sent me a pic wondering if I knew what it is. Thanks for your thoughts guys.
