Wow, this picture is great! Love all the sleds in it and the day it captures. Anyone know if there is a story that goes with it?

That photo was posted on a VSCA ad by Scott Kieffer, a life long vintage sledder from Caribou, Maine. Really nice easy going kind of guy. Met him at the NH swap a couple of years back, bought a few things from him. Long time friend of Kendall Sutherland (recently retired). It's a great photo for sure, a 68 600 no less ! A frozen lake on a winter day in Maine half a century ago with a troupe of vintage skidoos, Wow ! Don't we just love that. Don't we want to be right there right then.

Took the Nordic for a ride around the pond yesterday. Usually the Nordic is taking me for the ride! Last ride of the season for the old girl . I moved a couple of sleds into my storage garage at my rental house. It's always one of the saddest days of the year for me .

That's a cool picture. Dig the Honda, and yellow at that very nice looking neighborhood there too! Thanks olyman, my humble abode is my own little slice of heaven. 32 acres with the house plopped in the middle of the woods, a 3/4 acre pond and a very popular trout stream in my back yard. Its like living in my own Metropark. For all the land I have, its not exactly sled-friendly. It is 90% wooded so except for riding around the pond, its really hard to get any real riding in, especially if you're in the mood for speed. I do have a couple of trails through the woods. Those are fun, but a bear to keep up with all by myself. The wife isn't much help these days with that, LOL

OK, one more picture....This is me circa 1981 or 1982. Helping my friend Tony, (who I still ride with) work on his 71 Nordic 399e. Make me wonder if the Tilly was acting up? LOL. We knew very little about Tillys back then, but at least original rebuild kits were easier to source.

Rode about 43 miles on Wednesday, great way to burn up a vacation day! I rode my GSX and a coworker rode my 02 Legend. I'm getting him back into the sport after a 30 year break as he grew up in Calgary, and now lives in Ohio. He rode Doos back in the day! Sharing is caring, right?
