1965. Joe Oly at nine years of age. Always loved doing this job. The blower came from Sears, Christmas gift from mom to dad. Saw the identical machine on ebay a few years ago. Should have grabbed it. End of driveway snow hut. I haven't seen kids do this in decades.

Very nice pictures joeolympique. We just don't get enough snow these days to make a pile it melts as fast it comes seems like. Even if we did get a lot snow the kids now days are more interested in computer games instead of making tunnels in the snow.

In the late 60’s early 70’s in WI we could walk off the garage roof onto the snow. The backyard was full of tunnels and caves. Back when kids would much rather be doing anything outside.

Awesome. I spent hours making tunnels & forts... with no regard whatsoever to how bad it could turn out for me lol No need to worry about that now, as I have the same no snow issue olympic has

I could relate to that olyman. As a 10 year old, spent an hour digging out a tunnel leading to a cave for 3-4 kids to find out the tunnel was collapsing under the snow load above. My brother and I barely made it out. Lesson learned, don't tell your mum. Thanks for sharing pis and stories.
