Here's the bulb on my Nordic which Im using a 6260B I believe and I labeled with the info. I had a good time looking into this, but no pun intended, all I see now are spots! It should confirm what Olyman said. I never actually looked at this in depth. Hope this helps Colin. I have the original German Reluma 126060p bulb with a little different configuration.

I have one of those style bulbs here too Colin, and I just measured the resistance of each filament. They are the same. They are 60watts each, and made the same way. Its entirely position within the reflector that changes the result of what comes out. Based on how those "Mag light" flashlights work, I would suggest that the flat one is the high beam and the curved one is the low - just because of the location. I dont think they work as well as the newer style, like the one Mark showed. That style has that deflector which makes the beam stay on one side which works great for a low beam. Even later halogen lights work that way with the deflector in it.
