Can anyone tell me what the difference is, if any, between rear axle sprockets 570 0101 and 570 0118. I am changing up on my '71 T'NT and the original are 0101 and I have new 0118 which look identical. Please post, thanks.

Was just talking to a guy who had an old 1988 Sun and Snow catalog. 570 0101 cross references to 570 0118 so both can be used for 1960 to mid-80's ski-doos.

Are they the same color? Maybe the material of construction was updated to be more durable? Just curious...

Same black color, and flexibility. I used the hard white ones on my '70 340 blizzard oval racer and I had some issues on my '69 399 T'NT because the track shrunk a bit, and the black sprockets would ride out of the holes. I solved it by shaving the leading edge of the teeth so they wouldn't catch the clips.

I did exactly that with a set I got from Spaulding to fit a slightly shrunk track too. Has worked great ever since.

Not wanting to hijack the thread but I've had issues too with new sprockets on used ( but excellent appearance) tracks wherein the sprockets will ride out of the holes. Very frustrating after going to the effort of changing a track and sprockets. I had written it off to shrinkage leaving me with an unusable track so this is giving me hope. When you "shave the leading edge", just exactly what is done? What tool? How much is shaved? Thanks.

Box cutter and just slightly increase the radius on the ends of the teeth.

I think I just used something like a dremel or a sanding disc on an air tool to take the square edges off. Made them look more like a kimpex sprocket. This was what they looked like before I went arts & crafts on them

Are you using soft black rubber for the drivers or are they the hard poly?
