That flex pipe is my experiment. Its just 1" flex electrial conduit that i stripped the vinyl off. Its got a nice tight bend so i'm hoping that will keep it from leaking too much. I dont expect that it will be as good as the oem but worth trying.

I used the electrical flex conduit as well on my 1968 Oly super. Highly recommend you peel the vinyl off first.....you can guess how I know, ha ha. My flex pipe leaks a little but my sled is not restored (looks a lot like Olyman's under the hood in picture) so a little blackness near the exhaust outlet just adds to the patina. I had to add a sheet metal screw to secure the end of pipe where it enters the outlet flange on the tunnel running board as it kept popping out there with the stock clamp. I attributed it to being a smidge too short. I see Vince has a clamp to the tunnel about 3" from the muffler outlet on his. Mine doesn't have that so might try it on mine (though the screw at bottom seems to be doing the trick).

Good eyes Grant. I put that on there to help hold it in place, but mainly to keep it from rubbing against the steering arms. Thats what did the oem tube in.
"adds to the petina" 😄 lol
