Nicely done Bones! Gotta love the serial number there. Seems like you have knack for being first in line sort of speak. Does that 670 have a pair of 40's like my old 96ss did? Didn't some of the GT's have more than one exhaust pipe or was that just the triples?

Bones strikes again! That's a nice 95. I see you must have it in the OR for a little nursing back to life and rehabilitation. The wires remind me of IV and picc lines, unless one is a catheter? lol, I hope nothing is leaking on that baby. Never owned a GT, but a coworker of mine recently picked up a 98 GT SE 700 triple. So I'm starting to get some experience with them. Please keep us posted on the work you're doing on it.

Yes Olyman it has a pair of 40 mm carbs, same engine as your old 96 SS. The SS had a little more radical clutching compared to the GT. I am not aware of any GT with twin pipes.
Doo640ER, I got er hooked to a ECG, checking out the condition. I know the ser # is "cool", but to me to rebuild because of #00001 I should restore it properly. Just to make the seat about original I can see seat / back rest at near $500.00 ( yikes). The belly pan has a break enough that I would want to change it plus a few other misc / minor things. Not sure if E-start works ( it does have some kind of problem). Most things work, lights, bar heaters, passenger hand heaters etc all work. Hood is very nice. Likely needs a trailing arm. It did not run when I got it. The results of the ECG indicated it needed a new CD box. I had to doo a little surgery, it got a transplanted CD box from the tickle trunk. Old Bones was able to pull the rope on that old beast and she roared to life. I am having thoughts about installing a short seat and making it a 1 up ditch banger / bush beater. That would not cost me too much. Not too sure what I am gonna doo with it ??
Buddy just bought him self a 96 purple screamer that needs space in the OR so I may not get to the 670 GT ?? Bones

Well unfortunately this is the only memory of the 95 Grand Touring SE, ser # 1 Belly pan bad shape, seat needed repair, a few other misc things that were fixable, but.....Running board rolled edge was broken and the last straw one trailing arm anchor point was broken. That was it, parted out. It signed a "donner card" so some other sled will live on because of it.

Now I guess I own this one. A new experience for me. I owned Polaris triple at one time but never a purple screamer. It about to get pulled apart, cleaned and re-assembled, fixing what is required. Bones

Cool sled Bones. I've heard from some people who ran them to watch the center cylinder. Not sure why it would be a cause for concern but if something were to happen to the top end, that would be the source of the main event. But this screamer is in good hands now. It should be pulling your arms apart when the snow flies RIP GT670SE

Bones, kind of a bummer that 1028 00001 could not be saved. Always sad when a sled is parted but hopefully some of the parts will live on in other sleds. So now you've got a purple screamer to play with, cool! Please keep us posted. I rode one of those back in 2005. Fun stuff!! I've seen some for sale locally from time to time, and not to pricy either.
