HOW MANY 640 INVADERS WERE MADE WITH THE 640?? Joe, is this a trick question? My guess is that all the 640s were made with the 640. 😉 Doo you have your eyes on one and gonna add it to the herd?

WELL TOOK THE 640 INVADER OUT FOR A SPIN THIS YEAR. WE GOT 18-20 INCHES OF SNOW SO IT WS BURIED THOUGHT IF I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT WOULD JUST COME OUT OF THE HOLE. FORGET ABOUT IT JUST SPUN THE TRACKS!!! DIG OUT AND TRY AGAIN THIRD TRY FINALLY CAME OUT WITH A SLIGHT SORE BACK BUT ON THE TOP OF THE SNOW. WENT 5 FEET AND INTO A TRAIL I MADE WITH MY SNOW BLOWER! STUCK AGAIN! WHAT THE H@!!. GOT IT OUT TRIED TO KEEP IT OUT OT THE TRAIL TO THE SHED BACK IN THE HOLE. GOT TO THE SHED AND IT RAN OUT OF GAS ON THE PONY TANK!! TOTALLY PI$$. MADE UP NEW FUEL DROVE IT ABOUT TEN FEET STUCK IN ANOTHER TRAIL!! I WAS ABOUT READY TO FIRE BOMMB THE VALMONT. GOT IT OUT OF THE TRAIL AND FINALLY ON THE SNOW ABOUT 5 LAPS AROUND THE HOUSE LEANING THE WHOLE TIME TO MAKE A BIG CIRCLE. MAN YOU DOO NEED 3 ACRES TO TURN THIS BEAST. LAST LAP GAVE IT FULL THROTTLE NEXT THING I KNEW IT MISSED THE TURN OFF I WENT A 3 FOOT SNOW BANK ONTO THE DRY ROAD ACROSS THE ROAD AND INTO THE SNOW BANK ON THE OTHERSIDE!!!! T BONED THE BANK. TOTAL SORE BACK NOW!!! PARKED THE SLED AND WILL TRY AGAIN NEXT YEAR . YETI

That's a hell of a story Yeti! If I didn't know any better I'd say that's pretty much how most old sleds get left for dead after an episode like that lol.

YETI, What are the first four digits of your 1970 Invader 640ER? Is it 7035? 7035 is listed as the 70 Alpine 640ER on the Restoration Resources site. It does not list an Invader 640 for 1970 but obviously we all know they made them.
I pulled this info off of another site, maybe it can help? It has models and VINs, with some production numbers penciled in. I sure hope it's OK to share since I am not the owner, but I certainly give credit to that person, whoever it is.
Looks like there were about 1476 70 Alpine 640ERs produced. Obviously there is (may be) still some mystery on the 70 Invaders. Can someone clarify what's what?
More info just for fun....
